A Typical Afternoon of a Stay-at-Home-Mom

In my last post, I wrote about a day of ours from the time we wake up until nap time.

In this post, I will attempt to write down what usually happens AFTER nap time.

Zoard is 3.5 years old and Assya is 9 months old. We are currently in Thailand.

15:00

Assya is sleeping on me in our bed.

15:10

I put Assya back in her cot but she only stays laying down if I pat her bum so eventually, I take her out.

I nurse her and I give her some balls to play with.

Imagine this for 2 minutes. Then this:

Zoard would normally, sleep in a proper bed but here on Koh Samui, we take what we get.

15:30

An excavator passes by. This is quite typical. HAHA

I let them both watch the excavator but the rule is, that Assya cannot go out on to the terrace.

On the side note: I totally forgot to take a picture of the excavator. Oops.

Pretend Playing starts

I am a crane called Crany.

Zoard is half excavator, half race car by the name of Brownie.

Assya is Little Crany.

We first, pretend to sleep. I have to say: “what time is it?!”
Zoard aka Brownie: “It is the time to wake up.”

Zoard starts dumping things on a floor since he has some kind of a part-time job as a dumper.

I help Assya entertain herself.

15:45

I start washing the dishes while I suggest to Brownie that he write me a postcard while I am away, doing some business by the stream.

16:00

I change Assya’s diaper.

I build a mini tower for Assya to knock over.

Zoard is talking like the speakers of metros in Budapest.

I try to go back to doing the dishes but Assya has a nasty diaper rash and by

16:15

Assya becomes more and more fussy.

SONY DSC
I start carrying Assya and let her be naked.

She pees on the floor.

I clean it up and I reapply coconut oil on her bum.

16:30

SONY DSC
Zoard has to make a snack for himself and I. Oats and yogurt. He has it with raisins.

Zoard pretends to be tram 6.

I nurse Assya.

SONY DSC
I carry Assya in my hands.

16:50

I apply more coconut oil on her rash. (Now we know that the change in my diet caused the rash. She is being exclusively breastfed and I started eating 30-40 cherry tomatoes, every single day. Too acidy…)

17:20

My husband comes home and takes Zoard swimming.

Do you have a way of not entertaining your kids as much?!

xoxo,

See you on Instagram @zoardandassya!

  1. Your kids are so cute. Nicky is entertaining himself more and more with cars etc but still every now and then needs attention.
